🛕 Run Run Run! — Feline Indiana Jones in a Pyramid Full of Mummies
⭐ 10/10
Players: 1–4
Playtime: 30–40 min
Difficulty: Medium (co-op & tactical planning under pressure)
Game Type: Cooperative / Adventure / Dungeon Crawler / Family
Mechanics: cooperative play, tile exploration, risk management, dice rolling, variable player powers, time pressure
Together with your fearless feline companions, you enter a mysterious Egyptian pyramid. A few steps in, you uncover a vast crypt — resting place of the ancient relics of Tutankhaumon, the Cursed Pharaoh. Unfortunately, the moment your paws touch the sarcophagus, the ground shakes, statues collapse, and... you’re trapped!
Your goal? Find the hidden exit before the torches burn out and the mummies catch you. You must also protect the relics — if the mummies reach them, they’ll gain power that could doom all of humanity. Five torches. A few cats. Dozens of traps. And pure chaos. 🐾🔥
🐾 Teamwork with whiskers
Run Run Run! is a fully cooperative adventure that can be played solo or with friends.
Players win together or lose together. Each cat makes their own choices — but in the best interest of the group.
You’re free to discuss strategies, but the final decision always belongs to the active player.Because every archaeologist — feline or not — has their pride. 😼You can’t show your cards to others, but you can point silently at tiles to hint at your plans. A small touch that turns teamwork into a clever, wordless dance of intuition and chaos.
😸 Rest & Regroup
When everything falls apart and mummies are breathing down your neck — it’s time to... take a break. The Regroup action lets your cats rest, reorganize cards, and plan ahead before being buried alive.
During a regroup:
The active player spends a regroup token (there’s only a few per game).
Other players can “teleport” to that cat’s room for free — as long as they don’t cross a mummy’s path.
Each participant contributes up to two cards to a shared pool.
Everyone draws new cards from the discard pile and can freely redistribute them among the team.
Players may also exchange sarcophagus tokens or pass them freely.
It’s the perfect chance to breathe, rethink your tactics, and rescue the team from disaster. But beware — regroup tokens are limited. Once they’re gone, no more naps in the pyramid. ⏳
🎯 Objective
Work together to open the hidden exit before:
all torches go out, or
the mummies seize the Pharaoh’s relics.
Along the way, you’ll trigger ancient mechanisms, collect hearts of courage, and dodge the undead guardians of the tomb.
🛡️ How a Turn Works
Each round has two parts:
1️⃣ Cat Explorers’ Turn – players move, collect items, activate mechanisms, and block the mummies’ advance.
2️⃣ Mummy Turn – roll the mummy dice to determine which undead will move and in which direction.
💀 Key rule (confirmed by Bruno Cathala himself!):
“First, roll the dice.
If the mummy moves — you’re safe.
If it stays — it attacks.”
In short: a mummy only attacks if it remains on the same tile after the roll.
It doesn’t automatically attack just because you start your turn in the same room.
💬 This rule wasn’t clearly explained in the manual — so we wrote to Bruno Cathala.
And guess what? He replied! 😻
He confirmed the rule and saved our expedition from the jaws of the undead.
🔺 Ancient Symbols
Some rooms are marked with Egyptian symbols:
Three identical symbols → you discover a new torch (refill up to five).
Three different symbols → you activate an Exit mechanism.
When the third and final mechanism is triggered, the Exit opens — but the Mummy Lord awakens!
From then on, no new mummies can enter the pyramid... but your victory is still far from guaranteed.
🧩 Why I Love This Game
✅ Requires cooperation and thinking — every move matters.
✅ Constant tension and laughter — you never know what’s next.
✅ Unique characters — each cat has distinct abilities and charm.
✅ The rest-and-regroup mechanic adds strategy and pacing to the chaos.
✅ Egyptian adventure vibes — cats, mummies, and torches. What more could you want?
💀 Why It’s Not Perfect
Both the Polish and English manuals leave some rules ambiguous — especially around mummy movement, attacks, and regrouping.
Thankfully, Bruno Cathala himself cleared everything up! 🧠
Other than that… I honestly can’t complain.
🏆 How to Win
🔥 Plan together — one mistake can doom the expedition.
💡 Use each cat’s abilities wisely — timing is everything.
🚪 Activate mechanisms quickly — time is your greatest enemy.
💎 Protect the relics — if the mummies touch them, it’s game over.
🕯️ Save your torches — they’re your lifeline.
😺 Don’t be afraid to regroup — better to lose a turn than the whole team.
☕ Impressions
This game is pure joy. Fast, intense, and full of personality.
It’s not just a co-op — it’s a pyramid crawler, where every tile hides a new risk or surprise. I bought it after Mery from Zaku Boardgames recommended it — and it was love at first torch. It’s clever, chaotic, and connects people around the table in the best way possible.
🎯 Rating: 10/10
